The Fight Against Child Cancer

My name is Zach.  I am in middle school and my goal is to raise money and awareness for kids with cancer and in chemotherapy.

I am doing this in memory of my grandmother who died of cancer.  She would have been 75 years old on October 10th.

I want to help kids with cancer because they are the world’s future. Did you know that 46 kids are diagnosed with cancer every day in the USA and that one out of every 330 kids will develop cancer by age 20?

After much research, I decided to have all my pledges (100%) go directly to the “Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation”, a 501 (c)(3) non profit who supports families with kids who have cancer.

My hope is to raise $1,500 that will be donated to the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and to have 1,500 people visit my site.

My plan is to raise funds in two ways:

  1. Have companies sponsor my website:  I will place their logo on my website for any sponsorship of $100 or more – CLICK on “Sponsorship Form”.
  2. Individual pledges – CLICK on “Pledge Form. If you want to pay your pledge with MC/VISA/AMEX, once you complete the form, you will be routed to the “Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation” website. Please designate your donation “in Honor of Zach O’. This will help me track my fundraising totals.

If I reach my goal of $1,500 or don’t reach my goal, I am going to shave my head for kid cancer awareness (my mom said she would buy me any baseball cap that I want).

Please come and be part of Zach “Head Shaving Party” celebration!!!

Date: Wednesday, November 14th
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: At the “Miracle Center” in Ventura where Zach attends their teen program.
5105 Walker Street, Ventura Ca 93003. They are right off the 101 Fwy, off Victoria; between the Coca Cola plant and Ventura City PD.

Please visit my website: and fill out a pledge form. Once your donation is confirmed by Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, they will provide you with an IRS donation receipt. To learn more about how your donation will support kids and families, please visit them at:
